1. What Claro Is

Claro is a personal journaling application that provides a writing space and optional AI-powered reflections, story arcs, and reports. By creating an account and using Claro, you agree to these terms.

2. Your Account

  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use Claro.
  • One account per person. Accounts are not transferable.

3. Your Content

  • Everything you write in Claro belongs to you. We do not claim any ownership over your journal entries or personal data.
  • You grant Claro a limited licence to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service (generating reflections, reports, etc.).
  • You can export or delete your data at any time.

4. AI Features

  • Claro uses third-party AI providers to generate reflections and insights. Your entries are sent to these providers for processing but are not stored or used to train their models.
  • AI-generated content is provided as-is. Reflections and insights are not professional advice of any kind (medical, psychological, financial, or otherwise).

5. Payments & Subscriptions

  • The free tier is free forever. No credit card required.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. You can cancel at any time and retain access until the end of your billing period.
  • If you cancel a paid plan, your data remains accessible. You simply lose access to premium features.

6. Acceptable Use

Claro is a personal journaling tool. Do not use it to store or distribute illegal content, or attempt to exploit the service in ways that degrade the experience for others. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

7. Limitation of Liability

Claro is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the service reliable and your data safe, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or through the app. Continued use of Claro after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
